Satyadev entertains by making films by choosing different stories. His latest film as a hero is ‘Skylab’. Nithya Minan is the heroine. Rahul Ramakrishna played the lead role. The film is based on the events of Skylab in 1979. Already released teaser, trailer and movie have sparked interest in the film. In addition to that, the movie promotions also created a lot of hype on the movie. Let’s take a look at the audience’s response to ‘Skylab’, which came out on Saturday (December 4) amid huge anticipation.
‘Skylab’ Kathentante ..
The film is set in 1979. Gauri (Nityamininan) hails from Bandalingampally village in Karimnagar district. She challenges her father to keep the news in her name forever. However, the magazine’s editor fired her, saying that her writing was of no benefit to the magazine. Gauri is waiting for a good story to prove herself as a writer. Dr. Anand (Satyadesh) from the same village is suspended and comes to Sonthuri to try to set up a clinic. But he is a little more selfish. Always thinks about money. Along with them, Nana struggles to pay off the debts of the family of Subedar Rama Rao (Rahul Ramakrishna) of the same village. The grandfather in dispute wants to sell the land. These three are stuck in a separate problem .. waiting for a break. At the same time. News comes that the American space laboratory Skylab launched by NASA will take over the earth and the earth will be destroyed. Rumor has it that it takes place directly in Banda Linga. What changes took place in the lives of the villagers at that time? Did Skylab really fall in the village of Bandalingampally? What were the turning points in the lives of Gauri, Dr. Anand and Subhedar due to this incident? That is the whole story of Skylab.
Who did it …
Nitya has always acted wonderfully as a journalist. Unlike the heroine .. Gauri only appears on screen as a character. Her voice was also a plus for the film. Satyadesh and Rahul Ramakrishna do not need to bend over backwards. As actors they have ever proved. Rahul Ramakrishna as Doctor Anand Satyadev and Subedar Rama Rao in their respective roles. Tulsi once again showed her experience in the role of Tanikella Bharani and Gauri’s mother in the role of Anand’s grandfather. The new boy Vishnu plays the role of Srinu who works in Gauri’s house. The rest of the cast acted within the scope of their roles.
How is that ..?
This is a 1979 periodical movie. At that time, everyone was waiting for the news that Skylab would take over the earth and the earth would be destroyed. Director Vishwak Khanderao made an entertaining attempt to show the effects of Skylab on the lives of Gauri, Anand and Rama Rao in Banda Lingapally, Karimnagar district at that time. The director’s effort in choosing such a brand new subject for the first time is to be applauded. However, it must be said that it failed to show on the screen that there was an intended point. Although the story is good .. the story goes on slowly but tests the patience of the audience. The story never progresses, however, especially in Fastoff. Comedy didn’t even work out that well.
If you want to increase the speed of the story in the second half .. that’s all there. Going on as a slog .. boring. The climax scenes, however, the dialogues are good. Also the attempt to show the underlying discrimination between human beings at that time was good. As for the technicalities .. Prashant R Vihari music is good. The songs come on occasion rather than brought on. Re-recording is also Aditya Jawwadi cinematography but there is no need to name it. The rural atmosphere of 1979 is wonderfully shown on screen. The work of the art department is to be commended. Editor Ravi Teja Girijala has to work well for his scissors. The production values are in line with the level of the film. All in all .. even if the ‘Skylab’ experiment fails .. the effort is good.
